Swipey Privacy Policy

Effective September 21, 2026

Swipey does not collect, transmit, sell or share any of your data. The app has no internet permission, no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Everything it works with stays on your device.

This policy explains how Swipey (the “app”), published by MARTIKYAN GARIK PERCH, IE (“we”), handles information on your device.

Access to your photos and videos

Swipey asks for permission to read the photos and videos on your device. It needs this to show them to you one at a time so you can decide what to keep. The app also checks whether you have shared all of your media or only selected items, because it can only show you its bin when it has full access.

Your photos and videos are read on your device and are never uploaded, copied to a server or sent anywhere by the app.

Moving items to the trash and deleting them

When you confirm a batch, Swipey asks Android to move those items to your device's system trash. Android shows its own confirmation dialog, and nothing moves without it. Restoring an item and permanently deleting it also go through Android's confirmation dialogs. Swipey never deletes anything without your explicit confirmation.

Information stored on your device

To work properly, Swipey keeps a small amount of information locally, in the app's private storage:

This information never leaves your device through Swipey. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it.

Device backups

If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include Swipey's settings and local records in your device backup to your Google account. That backup is performed by Android and managed by Google under your account, not by us, and we have no access to it. Swipey does not back up your photos or videos.

Sharing

If you tap Share, Swipey passes the selected items to the app you choose through Android's standard share sheet. What happens next is governed by that app's privacy policy. Opening an item in your gallery app works the same way. Swipey does nothing with your media until you ask it to.

Other permissions

The libraries Swipey uses for images and video playback add two standard permissions: ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and WAKE_LOCK. The first lets them check connectivity status, and the second is used by the video player so playback is not interrupted. Neither is used to send data anywhere, and without the internet permission the app cannot open a network connection at all.

Children

Swipey is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
